That time I tried to fix a squeaky floor and drilled into my own water line
I spent a Tuesday afternoon tracking down a squeak in my hallway, felt proud when I pinpointed it, then drove a screw right through a copper pipe. Water sprayed everywhere for 10 minutes before I found the shutoff valve. Has anyone else turned a simple job into a full plumbing disaster?

My dad once drywalled over a live electrical outlet.

Drywalled over a live outlet? That's a whole different level of confidence. Did he just assume the power was off and kept going? I've done dumb stuff but at least I can see the water spraying to know I messed up. That outlet could have been sparking for years behind the wall and nobody would have known until the house burned down. Your dad must have nerves of steel or a complete lack of self preservation.
