Realized last week that most of my underlayment waste was just me not reading the roll labels right

I was over at the supply house picking up some 6mm cork and the guy behind the counter pointed out I was grabbing the wrong width for the third time in a month. Has anyone else caught themselves burning material because of a simple misread on the packaging?

I heard this guy on a podcast say most waste comes from not double-checking the label before you cut, which makes total sense with your misread problem. That simple mistake adds up fast.
