Why does nobody talk about the glue that failed on a heated bathroom floor in Phoenix?

The tile adhesive just gave up in the 110-degree heat last July, so I had to pull up the whole floor and switch to a heat-rated mortar before the homeowner got back from vacation.

Reminds me how many things are just not built for extremes anymore. We get the standard version of everything, even when the environment isn't standard. It's like the world assumes a mild, average climate that doesn't really exist.

Honestly, what about stuff made for one place being sold everywhere? Like those fancy European windows that seal tight for winter, but then they install them in humid places where you need airflow more than insulation. Tbh it's not just climate, it's assuming one fix works for all kinds of weather and houses.
