Tried using grocery store flowers for a wedding gig and it backfired hard

I had a small wedding order last Saturday and thought I'd save money by using blooms from the wholesale club instead of my usual supplier... the hydrangeas were totally wilted by noon. Now I'm out $150 and have to redo the centerpieces for free. Has anyone else had luck with any non-standard sources for bulk arrangements?

$150 lesson in never trust warehouse flowers for anything important. Sounds about right for those bulk hydrangeas, they drop faster than a bad habit.

Man that's rough. Bulk flowers can be such a gamble especially when you need them to last. Did you at least get any pictures before they gave up?
