Used to hunt down clients on Craigslist for $20 gigs... now I just sit back and wait

Back in 2019 I'd spend like 4 hours a day scrolling through Craigslist posts for web design work, fighting bots and getting paid peanuts. Then I switched to just posting my portfolio on a niche design subreddit and let people come to me. Now I turn down more work than I take, got a steady flow from just one Reddit post I made 18 months ago. Anyone else stop chasing and start just putting your stuff somewhere targeted?

Fighting bots" makes it sound way more dramatic than it actually was lol

Ngl just ignoring them completely worked best for me. Like not even a reaction, just pretend they don't exist and they usually get bored.
