Bought a refurbished tablet from a pawn shop in Portland 2 weeks ago and it still has the previous owner's accounts on it
I spent an hour trying to factory reset it last night before realizing the power button is sticky and doesn't register half the time, has anyone else dealt with pawn shop gadgets needing a deeper clean than just the screen?

Start by wondering if this is actually a PROBLEM worth fixing. If the tablet works fine otherwise, factory resetting is way too much hassle for something that might not even be a real issue. Honestly, the previous owner's accounts just sit there inactive unless you're paranoid about some random person trying to log back in, which they won't since they sold it.

the previous owner's accounts on it" yeah that happened to me with a tablet from a local secondhand shop here in Austin. The power button was so sticky I had to use a toothpick to hold it down for the reset. What finally worked was taking a q-tip with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol and gently cleaning around the button edge while pressing it a few times let it dry for a minute and then it actually started registering clicks again. After that the factory reset went smooth no issues with the accounts wiping clean.
