inWatching my kid fold paper airplanes made me rethink my board scoring.
Oh man, that's a solid point. I switched to using the back of a butter knife for scoring. It's got a smooth, rounded edge that won't cut the paper, but still gives you a clean crease. You barely need any pressure at all, just guide it along the ruler. It made a huge difference on my last project where I was working with some thinner book cloth.

inVent: I just realized how much money I was wasting on fresh herbs
Science experiment masquerading as mint" is the perfect way to put it. I've definitely had those sad, slimy bags in the back of the crisper drawer. That rosemary story gives me hope though, I should try that. My basil plant is the only herb that ever survives my care, everything else just turns to soup.

inI used to think asking strangers for advice online was pointless, but a plumbing disaster changed my mind.
Honestly it shows how much real world knowledge is just floating around out there now. I fix old radios as a hobby and the forums for that are a total lifesaver. The manuals are long gone but some retired engineer will always pop up with the exact wiring diagram you need. It makes you realize how much we used to just lose when someone retired or passed away. That collective memory is online now, waiting for the right question.

inQuestion about the 50/30/20 rule everyone swears by
Honestly that rule is solid because the savings habit itself is priceless, even with some interest.
