Found a gallon of half-dried paint in my brother's garage from 2018
Went over to help my brother clean out his garage last weekend for a makeover and dug out a can of paint that was probably older than my car... had a solid crust on top like a weird pizza. Anyone else find random time capsules in their garage projects?

Gotta say, check what type of paint it is before you toss it. If it's oil-based from before 1990 it could have lead in it and that's a whole different cleanup story. Better to play it safe and look up proper disposal for your area.

Found some old cans in my dad's shed once that were so crusted over I had to chip the top off with a screwdriver. Turned out to be latex from the late 80s, still smelled like a chemical spill when I cracked it. The layer underneath was this weird separated liquid that looked like watery coffee with chunks floating around. Took forever to scrape it out and find a disposal place that would take it since our town has strict rules about anything that old. Your brother's find sounds exactly like that kind of garage archaeology where you never know if you're gonna get something useful or a biohazard experiment.
