PSA: I gave up on digital calendars and went back to a paper planner after a year of trying to make it work.
Everyone says you need a digital calendar on your phone to stay organized, but for me, it was a mess. I used Google Calendar for a full year, and I missed three appointments because the notifications just didn't stick in my brain. Writing something down with a pen in my $15 paper planner from the office supply store makes it feel real in a way a typed entry never does. I can see my whole week at a glance without clicking through tabs, and I scribble notes in the margins that I'd never bother to type. The phone is for too many other things, so a calendar alert just gets lost in the noise. For actually remembering what I need to do, the old school method is just better for my brain. Has anyone else switched back from digital to paper and found it actually worked better?

My phone calendar is the only thing that keeps me from missing my truck stops.

Yeah, my calendar is basically my boss now. It tells me when to eat, sleep, and breathe.

Pretty sure your calendar doesn't have the authority to make you breathe, that's still your own brain doing that. Seems like you're giving a scheduling app way too much credit for keeping you alive. People act like without their phone they'd forget to blink, but last I checked you managed just fine before smartphones existed. Maybe it's time to relax the grip a little before your calendar starts demanding overtime pay.
