I finally tried the 'soak your showerhead in vinegar' trick from a 5-year-old YouTube video and it actually worked.
After three years of weak water pressure, a 24-hour soak in a bag of white vinegar cleared out the mineral buildup completely, so has anyone else found a good way to keep it from clogging again?

Honestly, I'm just impressed you managed to keep a bag of vinegar tied to your showerhead for a full day. My attempt lasted about three hours before I knocked it off and flooded the bathroom floor. Maybe the real life hack is having better coordination than I do. Have you thought about doing it as a regular thing, like every six months, before the pressure gets bad again?

Ugh, it's wild how many "simple" fixes turn into full-on home disasters.

Seriously though, is the limescale buildup even that big a deal? Feels like a lot of work for a problem you barely notice. Black.laura's bathroom flood story is proof it's more trouble than it's worth. Just use some cleaner now and then when you remember, no need for a whole bag routine.
