My neighbor's mailbox vanished and reappeared three feet to the left.

This happened last Tuesday on my street in Springfield. I was walking my dog at 7 AM and his black metal mailbox was right by the curb, like always. I took the same walk at 6 PM that night and it was gone, just a hole in the ground. The next morning, it was back, but cemented into a new post three feet to the left of the original spot. No construction signs, no note, nothing. Has anyone else had a stationary object just move on its own like that?

Did you check if your neighbor maybe just had it replaced and the crew messed up the spot?

Used to call BS on stuff like this, but my buddy's security cam caught a tree swing moving on its own.

Hey @davis.gavin, I ran into this exact thing last year with a porch swing. The issue was a loose bolt on the top bracket that let the rope slide just enough to make it look like it was moving on its own at night. I tightened up all the hardware and put a few drops of threadlocker on it and it stopped completely. Check if the swing's chains are rubbing against the beam above, that can make it sway too even in a light breeze.
