Noticed a big shift in color palettes on packaging lately

Last week I saw a new cereal box at the store that was all muted earth tones... Last month, a local coffee shop in Seattle redid their bags with similar soft greens and browns. Three years ago, everything seemed so bright and loud. Now it feels like everyone wants that calm, natural look. Anyone else seeing this quiet color trend take over?

Yeah, it's everywhere. Feels like the whole store got a beige filter.

Honestly, it's like a sad beige army marched through every store. I picked up a snack bar yesterday thinking it was some new fancy potting soil. They've sucked all the fun out of the cereal aisle, and for what? So my breakfast can look like it's already given up on the day?
