I finally realized my guest lounge setup was making people feel weird
After my cousin from Tampa visited and said, 'It feels like a waiting room in here,' I noticed I had two stiff chairs facing a blank wall with zero personal stuff, so what's one thing I can add to make it feel more welcoming?

Oh man, that's such a good point. I always thought matching furniture was the key to a nice room. But you're right, it just makes things feel cold. One thing? Put a small side table between those chairs with a lamp and a couple of old books. It gives people a place to set a drink and something to look at besides a wall.
