The trick is redundancy. I keep one copy on paper in a fire safe and one in a plain text file on an old usb stick. Nothing encrypted, nothing that needs a key I might forget. Layers sound smart until you're locked out of all of them. Sometimes dumb and simple is the whole point.

Tbh that "pad is carrying the traffic" line is what got me too because I never thought about it that way. I started pulling my layout off the furniture plan about 2 years ago and my callbacks dropped off a cliff. Longest wall still matters for stretch but it shouldn't be the only thing you look at.

That whole thing where nobody wants to speak up but everybody's thinking the same thing is basically every group project ever. Takes one person to say it out loud and suddenly the room exhales.
