Switching from a standard bucket to a tilt bucket on my excavator

I was digging a foundation in a tight corner lot in Tacoma last week and kept having to reposition the machine to get the right angle. My boss brought over a tilt bucket on Thursday, and by Friday afternoon I had finished the same amount of work that took me all of Monday and Tuesday. Has anyone else found a specific attachment that drastically cut down their time on a common job?

My buddy swears by his quick coupler. He does demo work and says switching from a bucket to a grapple without leaving the cab is a total game changer. Saved him hours on his last job.

That's definitely the right idea, but calling it hours saved might be a stretch for most jobs. The real win is cutting out all the small downtime chunks. You're not just saving the ten minutes to swap, you're saving the time to line up pins, find tools, and get out of the cab over and over. It lets you adjust to what you find on site without killing your whole flow. For demo work especially, that adds up to a lot of saved frustration by the end of the day.
