Rant: My bike commute made me see my boss's meetings differently
I've been biking to my office job for about eight months now. Before that, I drove and was always rushed in traffic. On the bike, I have time to think and clear my head. One day, after a particularly smooth ride, I walked into a team meeting and didn't dread it. I saw my boss's long agendas as chances to plan, not chores. It hit me that my mood from the ride set the tone for my day. I've since suggested flexible start times for bikers, but no luck yet. Still, I won't go back to driving.
