That hot plate in the shack was our crew's main social event every noon. Now, a gas station sandwich wrapped in plastic feels like a sad, cold business transaction. I bet that old hot plate is sitting in a dumpster somewhere, dreaming of frying one last egg.

How can someone be scared of a haircut? That part really got me. I mean, I get being a little nervous, but scared? It's just hair. In my shop, if someone seems unsure, I just tell them it'll grow back and start cutting. Do they usually come around and like it in the end?
