Fired our retainer agency after 9 months, organic traffic doubled anyway
We kept seeing the same 15 blog posts get recycled every month while our rankings flatlined, so we pulled the plug last March and put that $3,500/month into just fixing internal links and updating old pages myself. By November we hit 2x the sessions we ever had with them, so was the agency even doing anything or did we just need a weekend of hustle? Anyone else see better results going solo after a long contract?
