Hit 50k in monthly retainers last quarter and it snuck up on me

I was just tracking along with small clients and then added 2 bigger ones in portland and bam, 50k without really planning for it. Anyone else suddenly realize they crossed a number they never thought they'd hit?

yeah i was just reading this article about how people with manual transmissions sometimes lose track of mileage because you're so focused on shifting and driving. @wadeg92 i mean it makes sense in a weird way, especially if you're having fun on a road trip or something. idk i feel like i'd notice 50k missing from my odometer but maybe it's just me. i heard one guy say he drove 80k miles before his oil change light even came on.
