My writing lost its voice after AI tried to clean it up

I was finishing a school report and used an AI tool to edit it. The tool took out all my careful details and put in basic phrases. For instance, my part about how little things can change everything became 'things are important.' I spent time putting my original thoughts back. Why can't AI keep the meaning clear? I wonder if updates will fix this. What are your thoughts on AI getting context right?
