Am I the only one who had an air fryer disaster week?
Last Tuesday I tried making chicken wings and they came out like hockey pucks. Set the timer for 25 minutes at 400 like the recipe said and they were burnt to a crisp. Then Friday I made sweet potato fries and they were soggy in the middle. Maybe it's just my machine but I've had three bad batches this week and I'm ready to throw the whole thing out. Has anyone else hit a rough patch like this where nothing turns out right?

Oh man, take a breath here. You're ready to throw out a whole appliance over a couple bad batches of wings and fries? That's a little dramatic, don't you think? In my experience, air fryers are pretty forgiving once you figure out they all run a little hot or cold. That 25 minutes at 400 sounds like a recipe that was written for a different model, yours might just cook faster. As for the soggy fries, that's almost always about not drying them enough or crowding the basket, not the machine itself. Maybe try cutting back the temp by 25 degrees next time and see if that helps before you give up on it completely.

Agreed with most of that but honestly air fryer wings are one thing I am not giving up on. @milap35 brings up a good point about temp calibration though because my old one was so hot it would burn the outside before the inside was done. Switched out the basket and now it's fine.
