TIL people are preheating air fryers that don't even need it and it's wrecking their cook times
Watched my roommate sit there for 5 minutes waiting on a preheat beep that never comes on our model, then she wondered why her chicken nuggets came out dry and chalky after 14 minutes when mine hit perfect at 9 without any warm up, so can someone tell me which brands actually need it because I'm convinced half of you are just burning time and food for no reason?
The "preheat beep that never comes" part got me because that is exactly how half the stuff we own works now. Nobody reads the manual, everybody just assumes every machine works like the last one they had, and then they blame the machine or themselves when it doesn't. My coffee maker runs a whole clean cycle if you hold the button down too long and my dad swears it is broken every single visit. My car tells me to check the tire pressure when it just means the sensor is cold. We have all these little devices screaming instructions at us in beeps and lights and we just ignore them and guess. The air fryer thing is the same deal, people treat "preheat" like a rule of nature instead of something you check per model.
