That one pilot who asked me to fix his "broken" seat again

Had a guy come in last Tuesday insisting his seat was stuck forward and wouldn't budge. I walked over, gave the lever a tiny push, and it slid right back. He just stared at me and said "you're a wizard" before walking off. Anyone else get those pilots who swear something is completely broken when it's just user error?

Pilots and basic switches mix about as well as oil and water.

From what I've seen working with different cockpits, it's actually more about the type of basic switch than the pilot. Some of those old-school toggle switches have a very specific tactile feel that some pilots actually prefer over modern glass stuff - it gives you that physical confirmation you flipped it right. The real problem comes when you mix military-trained pilots with civilian switches. They're used to certain pressures and throws that the general aviation stuff just doesn't have. A Cessna 172's landing light switch feels completely different than what you'd find in an F-16, and that mismatch can cause some confusion in high-stress moments.
