Chatted with a 30 year locksmith. Changed my whole view on wireless sensors.

He told me wireless is fine for residential but commercial needs hardwire. Said he's seen three separate office buildings get hacked through a wireless repeater. Makes me rethink my whole setup for business accounts. Any of you guys seen actual wireless security breaches on jobs?

Read a security forum post where a guy proved wireless jammers can knock out an entire alarm system from a parking lot. Hardwire doesn't have that problem.

Hah, I wish my biggest security worry was someone jamming my alarm. Last week I forgot my own wifi password and had to ask my neighbor if I could borrow theirs to Google how to reset mine. So maybe hardwire is safer for people like me who can't even protect their own router.

Respectfully disagree. Hardwired stuff gets bypassed all the time too.
