Got tired of fighting with my garage drywall tape after 3 failed corners

I spent a solid hour at the Home Depot on Coors watching an old guy explain how to use a banjo for taping, and he showed me that wetting the tape first stops those bubbles every time. Has anyone else had that lightbulb moment with a basic tool you just always skipped?

Nah, wetting the tape just makes it messy and saggy for me. Keep it dry and burnish it hard with a 6 inch knife, works better every time.

You trying to start a knife fight at the hardware store or what? lol. 6 inch knife sounds like you're cutting carpet, not taping off a window frame. Bet your trim looks like a crime scene after you're done burnishing the hell out of it.
