Ugh that's so frustrating. I'd be demanding a refund.

@the_hannah refunds are tricky in these cases because some places hide behind fine print or store credit policies. It's more about pushing for a manager to override the system than just asking nicely. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, but you gotta know which wheel to grease and how to squeak.
