Finally clicked after 200 episodes of bad habits in One Piece

Honestly I was skipping the opening and ending credits of every anime for years thinking I was saving time. But last week during the Whole Cake Island arc I let the outro play on accident and caught a whole scene that set up a major plot twist. I felt like a total idiot because I missed stuff like that in like 50 other shows too. Now I always watch the credits even if it adds 2 extra minutes per episode. Has anyone else realized they were missing important details because they skipped stuff they thought was filler?

The Whole Cake Island arc doesn't have a major plot twist in the outro credits.

Oh come on, @kai807, are we really going to pretend that the whole "Big Mom's shadow was missing in that final shot" thing wasn't a deliberate setup? That's basically a twist on the whole "she's not even human" idea they played with later.
