Honestly, I finally finished the original Gundam series after putting it off for years

Tbh, I spent the whole weekend on it and the last few episodes just hit different. Ngl, the scene where Amuro talks to Lalah really stuck with me. Anyone else have an old classic that surprised them like that?

Yeah, that feeling you get from finishing a classic is so real. I've found it happens with all kinds of media, not just shows. It's like we put off the foundational stuff because it seems like homework, but then it actually connects the dots for everything that came after. Finishing something like that makes you see the whole hobby, or even just storytelling in general, in a new way. It gives you a new lens for everything else you watch or read.
