Spoiler tags are basically useless in big anime threads

People just drop major plot points without any warning, and it ruins the fun for newcomers. I saw someone casually reveal the twist in a recent show's finale, and the whole discussion shifted to arguing about it. Now no one can talk about the buildup without tipping their hand.

Titles ARE bad but people spoil in plain text too.

Why do people even use spoiler tags if they're just gonna write the spoiler right in the plain text title lol? I got the end of a show ruined last week because someone did that. It totally kills the fun for anyone trying to catch up.

Blame different people for those two things honestly... the ones messing up titles often just don't think at all, while the tag users are trying. Forums are just messy like that sometimes. Still sucks your show got ruined though.
