Honestly just saw a 3D model of the Parthenon from 1687 versus now and the difference is insane.

Ngl, seeing the damage from the Venetian bombardment next to the cleaned-up ruins today really shows how much careful restoration has happened over the last few decades, anyone else get surprised by how much a site can change?

Hell yeah. The real game changer is how it changes the way you see the whole neighborhood after. I noticed the same thing when @palmer.jana posted those before and after shots of the old theater downtown. Most people just scroll past this stuff but once you see what's possible it flips a switch in your head.
