Vent: I used to think asking 'stupid' questions was a waste of time
Last month, I finally asked my mechanic how tire pressure sensors actually work, and his simple 2-minute explanation saved me a $90 diagnostic fee. Anyone else have a basic question they were embarrassed to ask that turned out super useful?

My uncle's old VCR manual saved my college project.

Honestly, my old DVD player's remote had like 30 buttons and I only ever used play and stop.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I put off asking my coworker how to actually use the scanner at the self-checkout for months, just pretending I knew. Turns out it was one button and now I don't stand there looking lost. That fear of looking dumb is so real, but it always bites you later.
