Can we talk about using a heat gun on plastic clips?

I spent 45 minutes fighting a bumper clip on a 2018 Honda Civic this morning, then tried warming it with my heat gun for 10 seconds and it popped right out... normally I just pry and hope, but that little trick saved my knuckles. Has anyone else found a better timing or tool for stubborn clips without melting the paint?

Funny how 10 seconds of heat fixes what 45 minutes of elbow grease can't, right? It's like half the stuff we fight with just needs the right kind of patience, not more force.
