Had a customer tell me I was "too detailed" on their estimate today...

He said I was nickel and diming him, but I was just listing everything that needed fixin'... has anyone else had a customer push back on a thorough estimate like they thought I was tryin' to rip them off?

I had a guy once count every single line item on a 15-page estimate and then tell me I was "padding the numbers" because I listed a $3.50 part for a new hose clamp. Like, sorry I didn't want your car to leak coolant on the highway next month? People get so weird about seeing all the work laid out in front of them, but if I hid it they'd say I was scamming them too. Can't win sometimes.
