I switched from the standard crimp tool to a ratcheting one for D-sub pins
I picked the cheaper one initially, but after messing up 3 connectors in a row on a King Air job, I switched. Has anyone found a specific brand that holds up better for daily use?

Yeah, the cheap ratcheting ones are a total gamble. Are you using it for the standard D-sub pins, or are you also crimping the coax pins for the GPS or comm antennas? I've seen guys burn through tools fast when they use the same crimper for both jobs.

Tell me about it, @rowank83. I've seen those coax pins turn a crimper into a paperweight faster than you can say "bad connection.
