Rant: Why do people keep putting in those prefab metal sheds?
Honestly, I get that they're cheap, but every single one I've seen after a rainy season has rust spots or the roof panels start popping off. My neighbor put one in last spring and by October he was patching holes with duct tape and tarps. Why does everyone skip a basic wood shed with proper flashing?

Oh right, that duct tape and tarp combo is really the hallmark of a quality investment, isn't it?" I swear those things are basically expensive lawn ornaments that double as rust collectors. My cousin's shed started rusting before he even finished paying it off, and he spent a whole weekend trying to hammer the roof panels back on. You'd think they'd at least test them in actual weather, but nope, just slap some paint on and hope for the best.

Man, I used to be all about those metal sheds, thought they were the tough guy option compared to the plastic ones. Then my neighbor got one and the door latch froze solid after the first winter, and the panels started rattling like crazy in any wind over 10 mph. Plus you're right about the rust, I saw the corner of his floor panel just flake away after 18 months, and he had to bolt on some scrap wood just to keep it level. Those things are a false economy for sure, you're basically paying extra to deal with more headaches down the road.
