My coffee shop meltdown got fixed by a random act of kindness
Yesterday was a mess from the start. I spilled coffee on my shirt, missed my bus, and then my laptop charger died at the cafe. I was sitting there, about to cry, when the barista, a guy named Mark, just slid a spare charger across the counter to me. He said, 'Looks like you need this more than I do right now.' It was a simple thing, but it totally changed my mood. I got my work done and even had a nice chat with him later. It made me realize how a small, kind act can flip a whole day around. Has anyone else had a day saved by something simple a stranger did?

That's a nice story, but honestly I've had the opposite happen way more often. Last week at the airport, my flight got canceled and this guy just cut in front of twenty people at the help desk without a word. It feels like most people are just out for themselves these days. Small kindnesses are rare enough to be news, which is kinda sad. I'm glad your day got better, but I don't expect that from strangers anymore.

Ugh yeah, that airport thing is the worst. I swear airports and DMVs bring out the worst in people, like all normal social rules just fly out the window. It's wild how one dude cutting in line can just wreck your whole mood for the rest of the day too, makes you wanna assume everyone's a jerk.
