Watched my neighbor's garden go from a mud pit to a full yard in under 90 days

It was a rough Tuesday, my car battery died and I missed a meeting. I came home grumpy and just stared out my kitchen window. Their backyard was just dirt and a few sad sticks back in April. I saw them out there every single weekend, moving dirt, putting down rolls of sod, planting these little green plugs. By mid-July, the whole thing was thick green grass and blooming flowers. No fancy landscapers, just two people with a wheelbarrow and a plan. It actually made me feel better, seeing that kind of change happen bit by bit. Has anyone else had a simple project nearby totally shift your mood on a bad day?

That sounds nice, but honestly all that weekend work just looks exhausting.

Guess it depends on your mood. Some days that kind of progress would just remind me of all the stuff I haven't gotten done. Watching people work hard can feel motivating or just make you feel worse about your own messy life.
