My shop's seeing a real comeback for detailed beard work

I mean, it used to be just trims, but now guys want full shaping and oil recommendations. It's a nice change and makes my day more interesting, idk.

Wonder if this means men are seeing grooming as self-care now.

My bathroom counter has three different face creams on it right now. I used to think shampoo was all you needed, but now I have a whole routine. It feels like self-care, even if I'm just trying not to look like a tired dad all the time. Taking those ten minutes in the morning actually helps me start the day better. So men are for sure seeing grooming as self-care, we're just awkward about admitting it. I mean, I called it 'face stuff' for a year before I said the word skincare out loud.

My husband still calls his moisturizer "that face goop" and acts like he's doing top secret science when he puts it on. The man has three different beard oils but will swear up and down he doesn't have a routine. It's the same energy as pretending you don't know the names of any flowers in the garden.
