TIL my old way of using thinning shears on dry hair was making my fades look choppy
I switched to using them only on damp hair after a bad review last summer, and now my blends are way smoother, anyone else do this?

Yeah, damp hair is the only way to go. The moisture helps the shears grab and blend evenly instead of just snapping bits off. Makes a huge difference in the final look.

Wait, you're telling me there's a right way to use those things? I've been hacking away at my own hair with dry shears for years... no wonder my last attempt made me look like a startled poodle. I just thought I was bad at it, which, to be fair, I still am. But at least now I know it's the technique and not just my complete lack of skill.
