Bought a $400 pellet smoker thinking it would be a game changer
I saw all the hype about set-it-and-forget-it cooking, but the smoke flavor on my brisket came out weak, almost like it was just baked. It felt like I wasted that money chasing convenience over real fire. What's a good middle ground for getting solid smoke without babysitting a stick burner all day?

Read a forum post where a guy swears by using a smoke tube in his pellet grill. He fills it with pellets and lights it separately, says it adds a lot more smoke flavor without any extra work. Might be a cheap fix to try before you give up on it.

Yeah, the smoke tube really does the trick... been using one for months now and it makes a huge difference.
