I used to think expensive thermometers were a ripoff until I dropped $150 on a FireBoard
I always bought those $20 instant reads and thought they worked fine. After 3 ruined briskets in a row, I finally got a FireBoard with Wi-Fi probes and it paid for itself in one cook. Has anyone else had a gear upgrade save them from wasted meat?

The FireBoard changed my whole BBQ game too. I was ruining pork shoulders left and right with those cheap thermometers that gave wrong temps. First time I used the FireBoard on a brisket I got that perfect stall and it came out juicy instead of dry. Best $150 I ever spent on cooking gear honestly.
