Just had a customer's carbon seatpost snap clean off during a test ride
It was a 3 year old model from a big brand, and the break was right at the clamp line. I'm stuck between thinking it was a hidden flaw in the layup and wondering if the rider just cranked the binder bolt way too hard. Has anyone else seen a failure like this on a relatively new post?

Three years old and it just snapped at the clamp? That's wild for a big brand. I'd be leaning way more towards a factory defect than an over-torqued bolt.
