Spent $120 on a fancy bottom bracket tool kit I barely used

I thought I was being smart buying that full Park Tool BBT kit back in 2020, figured I'd rebuild all my own hubs and cranks. Turns out most modern bikes use press-fit or different standards now, so that tool just sits in my drawer. I only used it twice, once on an old Fuji and once to help a buddy, and then realized my local shop charges like $15 for a swap. Has anyone else bought a specialty tool thinking you'd save money, only to have it collect dust?

Bought a full set of taps and dies thinking I'd be the guy who fixes stripped threads on everything, now I just stare at it and remember that most problems you can solve with a trip to the hardware store and a little patience...

Lol same energy as when I bought a tubeless tire repair kit with the fancy reamer and plug tool. Used it once, then realized my bike shop does it for free if you buy the plugs there.
