That one shift last Tuesday where every single customer wanted me to rebuild their bottom bracket on the spot, no appointment
Three of them showed up within an hour, and the last guy actually got mad when I said it would take until Friday because I had four other repair tickets ahead of his, has anyone else had a day where the shop just turns into a walk-in repair free-for-all?

Yeah but I gotta say, a bottom bracket rebuild is one of those jobs where the customer usually has no clue how long it actually takes. They think it's a quick swap but half the time you're fighting with seized cups or threads that are totally shot. I've had guys stand there watching me work like I'm a concert, which is way worse than a walk in free for all. In my experience those are the same people who'll complain about the price too, even though you're doing them a solid by squeezing them in.
