Blew $60 on a show that got cancelled after one season

I started watching this crime drama called 'The Undercover' on a streaming app last month. Paid for the whole season pass thinking it would be a good binge. Got to episode 4 and found out the network already pulled it with no ending. Total waste of cash and time because the final episode just stops mid story. Anyone else get burned by a show that vanished without wrapping up?

Man I feel your pain. I bought the whole season pass for "The Last Detective" thinking I was getting a full story. Got to episode 6 where they revealed the killer's secret twin brother or whatever and then boom, cancelled. Now I'm stuck with this cliffhanger about a buried evidence box that I'll NEVER see resolved. My wallet is STILL mad at me for that $50 mistake.

Happens all the time now and it's really frustrating. I mean, these streaming services treat shows like they're just experiments instead of actual stories with endings. It's not just TV either, I've noticed the same thing with video games that get abandoned halfway through development or even podcasts that just stop one day without a word. Feels like we're all just paying to be beta testers for stuff that might not even finish. Maybe it's just me but I've started waiting until a show has been done for at least a full season before I commit to buying anything. Learned that lesson the hard way a few times now.
