Can we talk about the show that ruined my whole weekend?

Honestly, I started 'The Curse' on a Friday night thinking it was a dark comedy. Tbh, by Sunday I had watched all 10 episodes and felt like I needed a shower. The way it builds this slow, awful tension between the main couple is just brutal to watch. I didn't leave my apartment for like 36 hours straight, which is a new record for me. Ngl, the final scene of the last episode messed me up so bad I couldn't sleep. Has anyone else finished a show that just left them feeling completely drained like that?

Feel like some shows just hit different for certain people. The Curse built up that quiet dread so well it got under my skin for days. That ending was a gut punch that stuck with me, way more than just regular TV.

I get what you're saying @thompson.brian, but I think some stories just hit harder depending on where you're at in life. The slow build and that unsettling ending in The Curse stuck with me too, not because I can't take a joke, but because it was so well done. You can appreciate something that makes you feel uncomfortable without it ruining your whole day, right? Have you ever had a show or movie that just lingered with you longer than you expected?
