They own the shows, their platform, their rules.

But their platform, their rules" cuts both ways though. They can change those rules whenever they feel like it, which is exactly what they've done with licensing and exclusivity deals before. Owning the shows doesn't mean much when the creators who actually make them decide to walk or start their own thing, and suddenly that library isn't worth as much.
