My buddy says you HAVE to watch a show in one sitting or you're doing it wrong, and I think that's nuts
We were grabbing pizza in Sacramento last month and he hit me with this line: "if you can't finish a season in one weekend, why even start it." I took that home and it bugged me for days. His side of it is that binging is the whole point, the story pulls you along and you feel the pacing the way the creators meant it to hit. My side is that a show you stretch out over a month sticks with you more, because you sit with a cliffhanger and talk about it at work the next day. I did a whole season of a mystery show in two days once and honestly I couldn't tell you half of what happened by the next weekend. But the slow shows I watched two episodes at a time, I can still name scenes from. So which one is it, is a show meant to be swallowed whole or sipped? Tell me the last show you stretched out and whether it stuck or not.
