My buddy swore I'd hate The Bear and I almost skipped it
Tbh my friend Mike kept telling me The Bear was just stress in a kitchen and I wouldn't like it because I hate shows where everyone is yelling. I almost listened to him. But last month I was bored on a Sunday and gave it a shot. By episode 3 I was hooked. The chaos actually makes sense when you see where the story goes. Ngl I called Mike after season 1 to tell him he was dead wrong. Has anyone else had a friend steer you away from a show that ended up being your favorite?

My cousin Sarah told me I would hate Breaking Bad because I'm not into "slow, dark dramas." She kept saying it was boring and depressing. I finally watched it three years later and binged the whole thing in two weeks. Called her up and said she had terrible taste in TV and I was never listening to her recommendations again. The scene with the RV in the desert had me on the edge of my seat. She still won't admit she was wrong about that one.

Binged the whole thing in two weeks. Called her up and said she had terrible taste in TV" - man, that's a lot of anger over a TV show, @wade780. I mean yeah, you proved her wrong but was it really worth a phone call to trash her taste? Some people act like finding a good show is winning a war. I get that Breaking Bad is good but Mike was just looking out for me with The Bear, not trying to start a feud. At least I kept it chill with my friend and just said he was wrong. No need to make it personal over some episodes.
