Unpopular opinion: 38 tubes rolled on one shift taught me more than my whole first year
Last Tuesday at the shop in Gary we had a rush job, 38 tubes in 10 hours, and I hit my best number yet on a 2 inch wall. I always thought speed came from working faster but it really came from setting up my roller position once and not fiddling with it every tube. The foreman said my fit up was dead on for all 38, which honestly surprised me more than the count. Anyone else notice their groove gets better when they quit chasing the clock?
